About the Church of God
The mission of The Church of God is to PREACH THE GOSPEL in all the world to every creature, and TEACHING all nations to OBSERVE (do) all things that Jesus has commanded. Common sense tells us that if we are to preach and teach, we must ourselves know our subject matter. If any generation of The Church of God has needed to known government and discipline it is the present generation.

Long ago the Apostle Paul admonished his younger fellow-minister, “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them; for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee” (1 Timothy 4:16). Paul seems to be saying that we can endanger our own salvation by neglectful ignorance of the doctrine, or by failing to continue in it.
We believe one must have a DIVINE REVELATION of The Church of God in order to stand in these last days! |

THIS IS AN OUTREACH THAT IS DESIGNED TO UPKEEP GOD'S PROPERTY HERE ON EARTH. FROM THE MAINTENANCE OF OUR GENERAL PROPERTY ALL THE WAY DOWN TO OUR LOCAL PROPERTY. THE SECONDARY LESSON IS TO COVER THE HISTORY OF THE CHURCH OF GOD. EACH MARKER HAS A STORY AND A PURPOSE. WHEN YOU READ THE BIBLE YOU'LL FIND THAT GOD OFTEN TELLS HIS CHILDREN TO CREATE AN ALTAR (MONUMENT) SO IT WILL BE USED AS A TESTAMENT OF WHAT GOD HAS DONE.

THESE TEACHINGS ARE ALL BASED ON THE SCRIPTURE; THEY WERE TAUGHT AND PRACTICED BY THE EARLY CHURCH; AND THEY HAVE BEEN SEARCHED OUT IN THESE LAST DAYS BY GODLY MEN NOT CONCERNED WITH THEIR OWN OPINIONS. HOWEVER, THE CHURCH DOES NOT MAKE A “HOBBY HORSE” OF ANY ONE TEACHING OR GROUP OF TEACHINGS, BUT ACCEPTS THE WHOLE BIBLE RIGHTLY DIVIDED WITH THE NEW TESTAMENT AS THE ONLY RULE FOR GOVERNMENT AND DISCIPLINE.

PURPOSES OF THE CHURCH
IN TURN, THE CHUCH HAS ITS PURPOSE FOR BEING. WHILE THEY MAY BE COMPREHENDED IN THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH GOD SENT HIS SON, ATTENTION IS CALLED TO THE FOLLOWING PURPOSES OF THE CHURCH:
1. TO PREACH THE GOSPEL: “…GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD, AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE” (MARK 16:15)
2. TO BRING FORTH FRUIT FOR THE INCREASE OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD: “…THAT YE SHOULD GO AND BRING FORTH FRUIT, AND THAT YOUR FRUIT SHOULD REMAIN…” (JOHN 15:16)
3. TO BE THE ONE FOLD: “…THERE SHALL BE ONE FOLD, AND ONE SHEPHERD” (JOHN 10:16); “THAT THE GENTILES SHOULD BE FELLOWHEIRS, AND OF THE SAME BODY…” (EPHESIANS 3:6); “AND TO MAKE ALL MEN SEE WHAT IS THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE MYSTERY…ACCORDING TO THE ETERNAL PURPOSE WHICH HE PURPOSED IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD” (EPHESIANS 3:9, 11)
4. TO BE SALT AND LIGHT TO THIS WORLD: “YE ARE THE SALT OF THE EARTH…THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD…” (MATTHEW 5:13, 14).
5. TO BE THE GOVERNMENT OF GOD IN THE EARTH: “…THE GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER [HIS BODY, THE CHURCH]” (ISAIAH 9:6); “AND I WILL GIVE UNTO THEE THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN…” (MATTHEW 16:19).
